red, flower is lehua - Moku o Keawe was a high chief of
the island of Hawai`i. Panaewa is a forest in the Hilo
district.
- Maui: color is pink,
flower is roselani or lokelani - Haleakala (house of the
sun) is the volcano on Maui.

- Kaua`i: color is
purple, flower is mokihana - Makana, a land district in
Kaua`i was renowned for the fragrant lauae fern.
