COME TO THE FARM IN 1999!

The 1999 Business Meeting/MiniReunion of the NYSCAA will be held on the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California (known to Northern Californians as the Farm) from Friday, August 13 to Sunday, August 15 (arrival on Thursday, August 12, will also be possible). Stanford has assigned the NYSCAA a student dorm with 27 rooms (49 beds) which will be competely devoted to the reunion and its activities. Stanford does require a two-night minimum stay, but for a double room with group bathroom/shower facilities, the entire cost of the weekend, including registration, lodging, Friday lunch, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast, is only $120 ($150 if you want to arrive on Thursday).

The deadline for submitting your registration (or telling Steve Blasberg that your money is on its way) is July 22. As soon as you register, you will receive detailed directions and maps to the reunion headquarters.

Palo Alto is very centrally located for auto, train, and plane connections. Both San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport are convenient to the campus (about 20 minutes from each), and Amtrak serves San Jose with connecting local trains to Palo Alto. The campus is in easy driving distance of San Francisco (with such attractions as Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, the cable cars, and the Golden Gate Bridge) and San Jose (with the Tech Museum and the Children's Discovery Museum).

We are looking forward to a great time in the Golden State for the 1999 Business Meeting and MiniReunion, and we hope to see you there!
